Sorry for not posting this past week! Today I will be
posting about France’s
history pacifically where is come from and why it is called France.
In the olden days France
used to be part of a Celtic region called Gaul or Gallia.
In 600 B.C the people of this nation moved up the Rhine Valley
and made a settlement which is known today as Marseille. Germany conquered it in the 5th century
when the Roman Empire fell. Four centuries
later it became an independent country.
France
in Latin means “country of Franks”. Franks we what used to be France’s currency before it switched over to the
Euro as with all the other countries in Europe.
