France's Histroy

Sorry for not posting this past week! Today I will be posting about France’s history pacifically where is come from and why it is called France.

In the olden days France used to be part of a Celtic region called Gaul or Gallia. In 600 B.C the people of this nation moved up the Rhine Valley and made a settlement which is known today as Marseille. Germany conquered it in the 5th century when the Roman Empire fell. Four centuries later it became an independent country.
Said to be a place in Marseille.

France in Latin means “country of Franks”. Franks we what used to be France’s currency before it switched over to the Euro as with all the other countries in Europe.
